Paper pieced bag

I made this bag for myself to carry my on the go projects anywhere. Of course it has to be a small one, but since I can’t stop sewing, it’s a good choice!

This is the front and it was made using the paper piecing technique. I had lots of fun doing it!

This is the back.

Essa é a parte de trás.

This is the inside with pockets for scissors, needles, etc.

Hope y’all have a really wonderful week!

Espero que tenham uma ótima semana!

Baby Blanket

Being a stay at home mom, the last 2 weeks I haven’t been able to quilt because my son stayed at home with me, also in the afternoons, recovering from a cold. Usually he goes to school. And I didn’t want to stop posting, so I decided to post this baby blanket that I made in 2010 for a cute little baby from a good friend of mine.

It was made from light blue soft (here in Brazil that’s how we call this fabric), with a bear using the applique technique, and the border was made from a matching cotton fabric.

I think my friend liked it!

Acho que minha amiga gostou!

Have a great weekend!

Tenham um ótimo fim de semana!

Lap Quilt

This was my first flannel quilt, and it was made wit love for my dear husband.

I used the applique for the leaves and on each corner (eventhough I did'n’t catch on the picture!) there are wood green buttons. It came out really pretty! And I had fun making it!

See y’a next time!

Some Cross Stitching

When you have kids and you are a stay home mom, you never know when you’ll be able to work on your crafts. Last week, my son had to stay home with me because he had the flu so I didn’t have time to sew, not even a little bit. But at night, in bed, I found some embroidering to do and this is how it’s coming through!

The pattern is from Cross Country Stitching magazine from October, 2003!!!

I still don’t know if this will be a pillow or I’ll just have it framed. But I know I just had to make it!
